This is a bronze paperweight of a dove by Kentaro Hashimoto. The plump and soft texture is beautifully expressed. Kentaro Hashimoto (July 23, 1930 - January 31, 2021) was a Japanese sculptor. He is a professor emeritus at Tokyo Gakugei University, a member of the Japan Art Academy, and a Person of Cultural Merit. He was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon. He was a member of the Japan Academy of Arts and Sciences, and was awarded the Order of the Rising Sun, Gold Rays with Neck Ribbon. He was an associate professor at Hosen Gakuen Junior College, a professor at the Faculty of Education, Tokyo Gakugei University, and the chairman of the board of directors of the Japan Sculpture Society.
