    Description

    Here is a custom built POWDER MEASURE STAND with integral turret press base for most powder measures that mount 7/8 x 14 with lock rings. (see pix).
    The base is 6 1/4in x 10in made with 1/4in steel plate. The boom for this unit has an adjustable height from 9in to approx 14in and rotates 360 degrees on a 5/8 in threaded shaft which can be locked in place with 5/8in standard hardware. The boom extends 5 ½ in from center point.
    It is painted bright red.
    This model is NOT intended to be free standing, and should be securely fastened to the work surface. I built one like this for my turret press and it works great. (see pix). It makes a secure mounting place for the turret press. It allows the use of manual measures for precise charges and convenience for making step loads. It is a simple approach to this procedure, where the measure can be mounted at a convenient place to swing out of the way when not needed.
    Please see pix 4 & 5 for how I use this on my reloading bench.  There is a real precision advantage to not have the measure ride the turret.
