The COP-Systems COPS-928-POE HomePlug® AV PowerStreaming Device with Power over Ethernet for a single CAT5 wire to provide both power and network connection to PoE powered IP cameras and Wi-Fi access points. The COPS-928 is 100% compatable with all brands and speeds of HomePlug Powerline devices with the exception of the original 85Mbps devices. If you already are using HomePlug Powerline devices all you need is 1 COPS-928 for every PoE powered device you want to get on the network.
HomePlug Powerline devices all incorporate a standard design to use existing home electrical wiring to establish secured reliable communicate between products and connection to the Internet. This HomePlug Powerline AV device is an excellent solution to extend your local area network (LAN).
HomePlug Powerline devices have become popular the past few years to hook up Netflix connections to the area where the TV is, or to connect your kid’s game box to the network and get good connection speeds. COP-Systems now provides a combined solution with the COPS-928-POE which adds Easy Powerline connectivity with Power over Ethernet (PoE) in one adaptor case in order to power remote devices such as IP cameras, or Wi-Fi hotspots. In a home or small office, you can use Powerline AV adapters to link multiple rooms without the need to run long Ethernet cables or power cords. The COPS-928-POE adapter is used only for devices that need PoE power to operate.
Introduction
The distinguishing feature of the COPS-928-POE is the built-in power supply that provides both Ethernet over Power (EoP) to stream data across the network as well as the PoE to power your devices using a single Ethernet cable, all in one adapter. No need for separate power & network cords to operate a single remote device.

System Info
COPS-928-POE operates using HomePlug AV standard, providing up to 200Mbps bandwidth over home AC wiring, and is compatible with other brands of HomePlug AV standard devices such as 200mbps, 500mbps, AV2 and most others. The older original 85mps Powerline adapters may or may not be compatible so we don't suggest using those older devices.
Note: A COPS-928-POE must be paired with at least one other HomePlug AV compatible device in order to create a network connection. When two or more adapters are paired they create what is known as an Ethernet Bridge. All adapters must be connected to a network device that is powered on.
We suggest you test that your location is compatible for Powerline AV devices by installing and testing a pair of HomePlug AV 200, 500, or AV2 adapters, which are all compatible with your COPS-928-POE.
Like all HomePlug AV products, COPS-928-POE is equipped with built in 128-bit AES security encryption. Combining the private home power grid and the 128-bit AES security encryption, COPS-928-POE is extremely secure compared to other technologies, such as Wi-Fi networks.
Note: You can safely use a COPS-928-POE for your router/modem connection, or other network connections, but it will not use the PoE feature.
