Betsy debuted on the cover of McCall's magazine in May of 1951. Mothers and daughters shared the fun of reading the adventures of Betsy and her friends. Betsy became an instant hit when she jumped from the pages of the magazine and became a doll.
Betsy is ready to look glamorous for her first formal dance in this Pretty in Pink outfit. The beautiful gown is made of pink tulle and velvet. Along with the gown, Betsy completes her look with a pretty pink hair ribbon, pink drawers, and slip on shoes. This outfit was produced by Robert Tonner and designed to fit his 14", vinyl Betsy McCall doll. A small catalog is included with the outfit.
